I am Thomas Desmet, an architect based in Leuven. During my internship at Desmedt Architecten I had the chance to work intensively on residential projects under the guidance of architects with more than thirty years of experience. That hands-on experience taught me that a good design doesn't come from creativity alone, but above all from attentive listening, considered choices and thorough technical detailing.
My approach combines that technical foundation with a genuine curiosity about the way people live. Every project starts with listening to your daily habits, your plans for the future and your expectations, before the first line is ever drawn. I believe the best home is not the most striking one, but the one that fits seamlessly into the lives of the people who come home to it every day.
